Sierra Ski Areas See 18″ In 24 Hours| 4+ FEET Forecasted Through The Weekend

The hashtag people keep using to describe the historically snowy January in the Tahoe has simply been– #januBURIED.

And with a foot overnight, the Sierra shoveling saga continues with Boreal, Sugar Bowl,  Mammoth, and Mt Rose all reporting over 18″ of snow in the last 24 hours.

“A Pacific frontal system will move onshore along the West coast tonight, bringing widespread rain and mountain snow.” – NOAA

A second installment of last week’s atmospheric river action is set to dump between 3-6 Feet when all is snowed and done. The Sierra is currently under a winter storm warning.
