In 1986 rally driver, Harald Demuth, created this iconic piece of advertising when he drove an Audi 100 CS quattro up Pitkavouri ski jump in Kaipola, Finland.  It was recreated 19 years later to celebrate “25 years of Quattro” in 2005 using an A6 4.2 Quattro to tackle the 37.5 degree pitch.

Subi’s and Yota trucks might dominate the apres tailgate scene in gravel parking lots across the ski bum nation but if you had to step up to a luxury sedan that can handle in the mountains, Audi has to be in the running.
