We are just days away from the official kickoff to the 2016 – 2017 ski season. The first shots of the battle for who will be the first ski area to open have already been fired with ski resorts in both the East and the West already blowing snow. Official opening dates will be largely determined by which ski areas get the most help from Mother Nature over the next one to two weeks, but with that being said, here are the most likely candidates based on historical data.
