Ummmmm…..what the hell did I just watch? I guess when you spend 10.3 billion dollars on the world’s longest deepest rail tunnel, you can suspend naked winged babies from the ceiling and call it a performance. The ceremony included 600 performers and was choreographed by German director Volker Hesse.
FUN FACT: Construction on the tunnel began 17 years ago and it was originally conceived in a sketch in 1947.
