Whistler will begin spinning lift on Thursday, November 19th after numerous storms dumped their payload on the Coast Mountains of British Columbia over the past couple weeks.

The opening comes a full week before their planned opening and it seems as though the same PR move made by other resorts is creating a marketing ‘domino’ effect across North America. As of now, there will be 21 resorts open in North America this weekend, many of which opened prior to their planned opening days.

Blackcomb is still set for a Nov. 26 opening.
