A 22-year-old Boulder, Colorado man was found dead at Eldora Mountain Resort on Monday evening.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s office received a call reporting a missing man who did not return from a day of skiing at Eldora at around 9 p.m. Monday night. Deputies found the man’s vehicle in the ski area parking lot and resort employees initiated a search of the slopes. The body of the missing skier was found just off the Jolly Jug ski run. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheriff’s office preliminary investigation has determined that the victim had fallen while skiing and collided with a tree.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the decedent once they have confirmed that all family members have been notified.
