Fresh off the Winter Mountain Festival’s huge success, Alpenglow Sports is fired up to announce the 2nd annual Summer Mountain Festival. This celebration is set to take place in North Lake Tahoe from June 21-29. Get ready for ten days of guided hikes, trail runs, and lakeshore yoga alongside spectacular mountain people, in one of the world’s most breathtaking places.

Like the winter offering, this  ten-day festival is a celebration of human-powered events, demos, presentations and film, all accentuated by the beauty of Lake Tahoe during summer. The festival explores some of the best activities Lake Tahoe has to offer. During the ten day celebration participants can hike, trail run, enjoy natural history excursions, lakeshore yoga, and much more.

Driven by fun, community, health, education and the embodiment of the mountain lifestyle, the festival has been designed to inspire participants to enjoy and explore North Lake Tahoe’s playground with friends and family. “We’re excited to once again provide our Lake Tahoe community and visitors with ten days of really fun events,” said Brendan Madigan, owner of the 34-year-old Tahoe City mountain shop. “It’s great for the community, encourages outdoor enjoyment and promotes healthy lifestyles.”

Alpenglow Mountain Festival is geared toward beginner and intermediate summer recreation enthusiasts, offering a range of activities for all interests and ability levels. The majority of events are free, but space is limited. Please register online in advance to assure your space in the many great offerings and for the chance to win spectacular giveaways.

An events schedule, a map and additional details can be found online at AlpenglowSports.com.
