The Freerider of the day today is Scot Crisman. A Colorado ripper with a big smile, a big heart and a bag full of freeskier tricks Scot is one of the newer athletes on the FWQ who has made a big splash in the last few seasons. Enjoy!

Where did you grow up skiing?  I grew up ski racing for Eldora Mountain Ski Club.
Where is your home hill now? I now live in and ski Crested Butte.
What is your favorite thing about your home hill?  The terrain is incredible, any run on the mountain you’ll find something fun to do.

When was your first Freeskiing competition? How did it go?  My first Freeskiing competition was in Snowbird in 2012 and I got 15th in the qualifier and then fell off of Frenchies air day one.
What is your favorite part of the FWQ? What keeps you coming back? The people are the best part of the FWQ for sure, second is probably traveling around and seeing all the different resorts and places.  The people and the fun keep me coming back.
What have you been working on improving for this season?   I’ve been working on making my 3s stylish and sending bigger backies.

What do you do to train for the FWQ? I bike, hike, do yoga, ski as much as possible, and just have fun.
Do you have a favorite event on the FWQ?  I like the CB stop a lot, the Crystal Mountain competition was a lot of fun too. They’re all pretty sick.
Who is your favorite rider?  I have a lot of favorite riders I really couldn’t name one.
If you could go skiing with anyone, who would it be?  If I could ski with anyone I think it would be Seth Morrison or Candide Thovex.

Sponsor shout outs? Any other shout outs?  Shout out to CBMR, Kastle, Lethal Descent, Smith, Larry’s Boot Fitting, Izzy’s, my family and friends.
Motto if you had to say one? I don’t know about a motto but maybe just make every day on the slopes fun.
Anything else unique about you, your skiing story, and how you go to where you are now?  Everyone is unique, especially the folks that make the tour happen from the athletes to the coordinators. For me I’d just say hard work got me here and a lot of luck.
