Significant snowfall possible in areas of Montana and Wyoming next week as a slow moving cold front might stall over that region Monday/Tuesday. The models are not consistent at this point. The long term trend shows this snow eventually moving into a good portion of Colorado on Tuesday and Wednesday (Aspen, Vail, Steamboat, Summit County). The Wasatch of Utah will be on the Western edge of moisture but could also see accumulating snowfall. The POW factor that I like most is “slow moving” and very cold air. Not sure who will be the winners just yet but it looks like Halloween will be white in many areas of the Rockies.
