Lindsey has officially won her 4th Overall World Cup Title. She is the first American to win 4 overall World Cup titles. The next closest American is Phil Mahre with 3 (’81,’82, ’83). Only one woman has more overall titles and that’s Annemarie Moser-Proell of Austria who won the crown 6 times in the 1970s. Marc Girardelli of Luxembourg has five overall titles and is the only man with more crowns than Lindsey. So, only two people have more titles than Lindsey.
Lindsey won three Overall World Cup Titles in a row from 2008-10. She lost last season by only 3 points. This year she is absolutely dominating.
Lindsey clinched the Overall World Cup Title by winning the GS in Are, Sweden on March 9th, 2012.
