This is one of the cooler things I have seen in a while. There have been half-ass attempts at creating all kinds of hybrid boards, but this surfboard/snowboard-in-one-board is absolutely legit and approved by the pros as you can see in this episode of Every Third Thursday. Every Third Thursday is a web show from Signal Snowboards that is frankly bad ass; it is like a Discovery Channel from snowboard makers where a completely unique board is created from scratch every month. In the above episode, a surfboard is made with a snowboard inside of it. The snowboard is raised a bit out of the bottom and has a base so it can shred. The surfboard has fins and floats and can also shred as demonstrated by Rob Machado. You just have to watch the video to know what I’m getting at. Looks fun huh?
