It was all a dream. Ian still reads word up magazine. Three years ago Rosie O’Donnell, The UBC Ski and Board Club and a solar flare had a galactic space fuck and this year a baby was born. The UBC Freeride Team strutted out of Rosie O’Donnell and onto the scene this past week for the North Face Canadian Freeskiing Open. Fifteen members of the newly formed team rolled up to sleepy Rossland Tuesday night with schemes for fame and fortune. After a few action packed days of shooting and shredding the media team is working hard to bring the most up to date coverage of the happenings at Red.
A little bruised but not broken the team made quite a first impression on the Freeskiing scene. Unfazed by the setting sun and pow hungry as ever we headed up the mountain pass for some roadside turns under the stars. Interrupted occasionally by confused semi truck drivers we got our fill and headed home hungry and tired.
