The Winter Storm Warning issued for Telluride rolled into the area over night and left the valley blanketed with a few inches of snow down to about 8,000ft. When the skies cleared around 2pm this afternoon, the peaks were coated thick with powder, with much higher accumulations than town. The fresh snow combined with the golden aspens and blue sky made for one of the most beautiful days I have seen in Telluride. To top it off, electricity was out and not much was open in the whole town including Mountain Village, until around 2:30pm. Pretty amazing day!
With more snow forecasted in the area through Saturday night, expect more photos and maybe some turns in the coming days.
Enjoy the pics…
