After last Friday’s “March on the Capital” NoBearHunt.org keeps putting the pressure on Nevada legislators to stop the bear hunt. Today they issued the following video addressed directly to Governor Sandoval.

The video is followed up by a reminder for round two of “March to the Mansion”:

Don’t forget! MARCH to the MANSION 2.0, Next Fri, Sep 9th,
5:30p: Rally in front of Capitol Bldg
6:15: March to the Mansion
6:45: Rally at the Mansion
7:15 After Party at Comma Cafe who hosts our petition.

Come for all or join us along the way even just to come to the party. More information at http://NoBearHuntNV.org

Bring a musical instrument, or a pot to bang. Have a sign or just come and chant with us: SAVE OUR BEARS! NO BEAR HUNT IN NEVADA! WHOSE WILDLIFE? OUR WILDLIFE! MAY THE FIRST BEAR HUNT BE THE LAST BEAR HUNT!

This issue just won’t go away and NoBearHunt.org keeps putting the pressure on.

What do you all think?

A lot of opinions have been expressed on the issue, but do you all think the anti bear hunt side will get what they want?

Are they just a bunch of tree-hugging bear lovers?

What should happen here?

Is this a good or bad thing for the bears, Nevada, the hunters, and Tahoe in general?

One thing’s for sure, NoBearHunt.org is going after the hunt and they have a bunch of events planned in the coming weeks to put the pressure on. What’s gonna happen?

They continue…

JOIN OUR GROWING RALLIES LEADING UP THE DECISION TO MAKE THE BEAR HUNT PERMANENT, 24 Sep.

Saturday, 10 September, 3-8p. Join us at Tahoe Expo on the Shakespeare stage at Sand Harbor. Our booth volunteers will be gathering signatures, selling nobearhuntnv.org magnets, talking to people to get them active to help make Nevada’s first bear hunt her last bear hunt.

Friday, 16 September, 5:00-7:00pm, Incline Village Rally Against the Bear Hunt, Tahoe Blvd @ Village Blvd (corners with 7-11 and Starbucks).

Friday, 23 September, Time TBA (probably 5:30) MARCH ON THE COMMISSION! From the Reno Arch to the Commission Chambers on Valley Road. Details soon, mark your calendars now. The NV Wildlife Commission Meets 23 & 24 of September taking comments both days on making the bear hunt permanent. Let’s give them something to think about overnight before they vote: “Whose Wildlife? *OUR* WILDLIFE!”

As a hunter, I see no sport in what would be like shooting a cow. The Black Bear is not by nature aggressive to man and hence would stand watching as a “sportsman” takes down this animal.
