One thing for sure is people are pretty secretive about their stash mountain bike trails here in Tahoe. Whether it be run-ins with the Forest Service, logging companies or just plain old private property, I’ve been told on numerous occasions to “keep this trail on the down low”. Me, being a friend of the outlaw, the athlete and good chill vibe has no problem doing that. If you bike you probably have some idea anyway.

I spent the last couple weeks trying to seek out a bad ass biker in the area. After asking around I came to the conclusion that anyone with the last name Huck has to represent across the board. Otherwise, he is doing a disservice to the name. Whether it be skiing, biking, motor-cross or climbing, Daron Huck is the man. Not to mention many of the people I asked also dropped his name. Daron is a biking guide for Downieville Outfitters throughout the summer. He is also good looking and single for all you ladies out there.

With the snow finally starting to subside we hit up a section of a sweet downhill classic. Here are some of the shots. Other trails riding good at this time are Lloyd’s, Immigrant Trail, Animal, JP’s. All in Truckee and in perfect shape.

The Line of the Week is a weekly photo piece by Ryan Salm featuring some of Tahoe’s finest athletes doing whatever we deem rad. We will be using the term “Line” loosely to describe anything resembling chutes, big airs, pointers or any general madness. All images are the property and copyright of Ryan Salm Photography.
