The Village and the mountain this morning at 8am, May 29th, 2011.

Squaw got 12 inches last night. The Valley floor has 6 inches.  The snow feels somewhat wet, so we are really hoping it keeps us off the ice underneath.  We’ll see.  Patrol is bombing the mountain right now and it’s looking epic and smooth out there.  People are already lining up at KT.

Trees in the Valley are looking mid-wintery.

It appears that patrol will get KT and Headwall open at 9am and it’s could be sick up there. I’ll definitely be tweeting how it is all day.  I’m pretty confident we’ll find something good.

Boot-top deep in the valley.

Right now, it’s overcast, snowing lightly, and 22F in the Valley .  The forecast is for it to clear up some and be partly sunny today.  The visibility is good currently.  Winds are nil in the Valley and light up top.  On the top of the mountain it’s currently 18F with 14mph wind gust. It’s lining up to be a pretty sweet Memorial Day Weekend Powder day.

Tulips on the North Shore yesterday evening.
