A year ago today the Squaw Valley community suffered another blow when we lost local skier and friend, CR Johnson. CR past way doing the thing he loved most, in the place he called home, surrounded by people who loved and supported him. Loosing firends and love ones in the mountains is by far the shittiest thing about skiing but we take comfort in the knowledge that all the people we have lost in the mountains shared in the same believe as CR when he said “My family, my friends and skiing, thats it for me. The joy I get from skiing… that’s worth dying for…” – CR Johnson
