Winter returned to Telluride last night with thunder-snow and one of the most solid storms of the season! The resort reported 10″ fresh this morning, but skied much deeper in zones. It was dumping at times last night and continued off and on today with sporadic bursts of sunshine. Pretty nice day out there for sure despite the HUGE crowds! The line at Chair 8 this morning was past the river on Telluride Trail, Chairs 9 and 14 both had pretty massive lines throughout the day, and the trails were a mess. It was scary and straight up dangerous to be on See Forever at times today, Crazy!

Avoiding the crowds, the trees were skiing awesome today, especially in the lowers. Reggae was deep, really predictable and fun as hell. It was definitely cool skiing steep woods with snow sluffing around you. Look for some more snowfall overnight and another great day out there tomorrow. Hopefully the crowds will begin to disappear over the next few days.
