One of the most important parts of making Snowbird the greatest place in the world is often overlooked on a day to day basis. Our ski patrol is one of the best on the planet and they have to make it happen every day, often in rough conditions. I try to thank them as frequently as possible and I hope you do to.

It is always great to see these guys skiing and having fun when they are in uniform because they really deserve it. There is a crew of younger guys and gals on the patrol that get after it as much as they can. Ben is one of these guys.

I don’t know Ben very well, but I met him last week when he skied some White Pine action with us. He can definitely crank on a pair of boards.

These shots were sent by my old friend Case Watson who recently moved back to town. Thanks for sending me some great shots Case. It would be pretty rad if everyone else who said they would send me stuff followed through like you did…

So next time you are thinking that you are too tired to go skiing today remember patrollers like Ben, Steve Miller, KenT, Matt, Jono, John Williams, Seth Roller, Seth Underwood,  and Alex Taran have already been throwing bombs for an hour or two before you got out of bed and they are jonesing to go get that pow.  What was your excuse again? Too tired?

Just for fun….This fella was spotted and photographed in the tram line yesterday by Tom Martens:

Mono Skier, Fart Bag, Tram Line, Funny Skier

Mono ski + Fart Bag = A whole bunch of GNAR points for Mr. Martens. Keep them coming my way people!
