So today at The Snowbird we all had a little bit of everything. There was about 8-10 inches of new snow depending on where you were riding and the sun actually showed up for a good chunk of the day. There were some good looking lines thrown down on West Baldy, and fresh snow could still be found late in the day of the Cirque Traverse.
I myself had a hell of a good time riding in Mineral Basin with the GF today. I also got in some light hucking later in the day with varied results.
There were no lift lines and the new snow did a good job of covering over the firm bumpy stuff that has been developing over the past couple of days. There were still some scratchy spots here and there, but overall I would call it a solid powder day. We ripped a few runs in the Bookends and I heard that the snow at Gad 2 was really really good. You still have to rock the Knucklehead traverse to get there since the Gad 2 chair is not open until this Friday. I know a few locals are stoked about that and a few that would rather see stay closed. Until next time.
