In April of 1993, pro snowboarder Dave Hatchett made a first descent on the Mendenhall Towers in Juneau, Alaska. Prior to his run, snowboarders didn’t consider the possibility of riding lines as big or as steep. Dave’s line proved that every snow-covered face is rideable if the conditions are right.
