If you didn’t get the chance to demo next year’s Volkl Gotama you should probably just buy it. – The Gotama, one of Volkl’s bester sellers in the powder series, will be a different ski next year. – Dimension have changed to 136-106-123 and will now have- progressive- rocker, meaning there is slight rocker at tip and tail and the ski is flat underfoot. – The ski is better in powder and still feels solid as an all mountain variable conditions type of ski. – As companies are messing around with rocker skis as park skis, variable snow skis and of course powder skis, it seems like Volkl is using the Gotama as the answer to all. – Personally, I used the ski four days this past winter and loved it. – I think it worked especially great on wind blown snow and corn. – It almost made skiing a few inches of snow feel like you were skiing a two foot storm. – In other conditions like crud, ice, bumps and in the park they surprised me and skied very well. – Should be a hot item for the 2010 season.
