Truckee: Wild Cherries or Tacos Jaliscos for a quick breakfast/lunch, Casa Baeza for dinner (mainly because their margaritas are to die for, literally they could kill you). Squaw: To add to the list above, I would recommend Graham’s but it is rather pricey but have a great menu for special occassions.- Cornice Cantina has also grown on me.- Obviously Les Chamiox and the Blue Onion in the winter.- River Ranch also has some great food and one of the best Happy Hours in town. Tahoe City: Syd’s and the Dam Cafe in terms of sandwich/coffee shops.- The relatively new Fat Cat has really good food and very reasonable prices, not to mention the full liquor license that they pulled out of left field.- Also the Bridgetender is a Tahoe City staple.- River Grill has surprisingly good margaritas and a decent happy hour.- Blue Coyote serves the only mexican food in town. West Shore: Sunnyside is always a lot of fun and their 1/2 priced Fish Tacos on Wedesdays draws a big local crowd.- Fire Sign, just across from Sunnyside, hands down has the best breakfast in Tahoe. Past Tahoe City: Garwoods’ Wet Woody’s will creep up on you (you’ve been warned!) and it’s one of the best places to hang out at in the Summer.- Old Ranch Steakhouse serves the best piece of meat and is reasonably priced for a steakhouse.- The best part is that you get two meals out of it considering the portions are rediculously big.- Hiro Sushi has a $25 all you can eat for an hour deal and, in my opinion, makes some creative rolls that you can’t get anywhere else. Well that is pretty much a run down of the only places I eat. What have I missed? Let us know in the comments.
