Red Garard isn’t old enough to vote but he might as well be mayor of “Goldthorne” Colorado with the way the town is honoring his Olympic performance. The sign welcoming visitors to the Colorado mountain town of Silverthorne was changed over the weekend to “Goldthorne” after 17 year old Red Gerard won the United States’ first gold medal at the Winter Olympics in South Korea….I wonder if his fam will be shotgunning beers in front of the newly minted sign?
