The New York Air National Guard’s 109th Airlift Wing’s mission is to provide support to the National Science Foundation’s South Pole research program.
Can you imagine packing this baby full of helicopters, sleds and maybe even living quarters and flying of ski missions across the globe? I wonder what the runway requirements would be for a plane this large on skis?
