roosevelt arch initials

26 year old Dakota D. Tipton (DDT) of Joshua, Texas was sentenced to serve 3 days in jail, pay $250 for repairs and $40 in court fees for carving his initials with a multi-too into the iconic Roosevelt Arch at the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park as reported by NBC Montana.

On June 6th park officials were alerted that Tipton had vandalized the landmark. Law enforcement contacted Tipton and he admitted to the carving and called it “a bad decision.”  The 50 foot tall arch’s cornerstone was laid in 1903 and is designated as a National Historic landmark. roosevelt arch vandal
