Some skiers and snowboarders at Thredbo Resort in Australia were quite offended by a sexist advertising banner placed on a railing at the bottom of a chairlift to promote the Toyota Kluger. The banner implied that children were best fit for green runs, women on blues and men on blacks.
Romy Krassenstein had this to say about the banner when she spoke to news.au:
“It’s just like come on, be more creative. Did Toyota really spend $100,000 on that campaign to offend women? Like seriously, haven’t we moved past this?”
A spokeswoman from Toyota insisted the ad was not meant to be sexist, although it has since been removed. Some have taken to social media with revisions to let Toyota and Thredbo know how they feel:
