It’s dumping down south and all the early season snowfall is making for one of the best starts South American has seen in the last decade. In just 7 days, Ski Portillo has received 78+ inches. So far, the Chilean ski has seen a whopping 100″ of snow this season.

While Portillo is doing the best job reporting snowfall totals, Valle Nevado, El Colorado, and Las Leñas are all showing big snowfall totals over the past week. Of those resorts, El Colorado started spinning lifts at the beginning of the week and some lucky skiers and riders already have a few powder days under their belt.
