Edgeworks and The Bicycle Doctor have long been considered Denver’s go-to for ski and bike tunes and now EVO is getting a piece of that Front Range pie.

According to a press release, EVO has acquired the two businesses with hopes of putting the EVO brand front and center in Denver’s dynamic outdoor retailer industry. By combining the two businesses, EVO will connect “evo’s ecommerce and retail innovation with Edgeworks’ local convenience, service, and expertise.”

“From ecommerce to store locations, evo brings so much to the retail platform. Working together we can build on our vision of service, rental, and demo to complete that experience at an even greater level.”Edgeworks and The Bicycle Doctor Owner, Matt Hupperts.

And while those statements don’t completely clarify what the end product will look like, it seems as though EVO will open up a retail shop in conjunction with the traditional Edgeworks/Bicycle Doctor Broadway location. The new shop will host retail sales, in-store pickups, demo’s, service, and assisted on-line purchasing.

“Professionally and personally, this is exciting for me given a strong, lifelong connection to Colorado – my mom grew up in Allenspark, CO and my wife’s family lives in Denver – and we have long looked at how evo could be more involved in the state. From all perspectives, I could not be happier about this big step forward for evo.”EVO Founder and CEO, Bryce Phillips

The planned renovation and added strorefront should be complete by the Fall of 2016.
