Whoever does the copywriting over at GIRO needs a raise. I got super pumped up just reading a blurb meant to set the stage to sell a helmet:

“In racing, there are no points for style. There is only one truth: The fastest time wins, which would be simple if it didn’t also require chasing the fall line down a sheet of ice that is, at times, nearly vertical – at speeds of up to 90 miles per hour, at the very edge of control – while arcing a tenuous line, from gate to gate, on razor-sharp skis.”

Daren Rahlves is an icon in above described sport, where your brain bucket is critical to longterm success and this a product he helped design and fully endorses.

It may not have a bro-brim or come with a variety of chinstrap colors you can accessorize with the rest of your outfit but the AVANCE MIPS Helmet by GIRO is the most technologically advanced helmet ever created by a company that is an industry leader in protective wear.

It will debut next season and retail for a hefty $500, so obviously it’s not meant for mass market appeal, but if you ski race I’m guessing you might work it into your budget. It’s kind of like Wayne Enterprises got the green light to put together a sweet helmet for Bruce. Here are some of its design features:

…well done GIRO, we appreciate any and all advancement in safety gear. Keep up the great work and give that copywriter a raise or he is going to get sniped by Warren Miller.
