I’m not sure if this is scarier if you know whats going on or if you are clueless. This was the explanation of the events:
– First malfunction (Tension knots)
– Cutaway + Reserve canopy
– Second malfunction (Tension knots again)
– Crash
….the passenger was unhurt but the tandem master broke his back on impact. He had this to say about the experience:
“Guys, be safe out there, never neglect the safety rules and take your time to pack your canopy so it doesn’t end up in a disaster.”
