Former U.S. Alpine Ski Racer and Olympic Gold medalist Picabo Street, 44, has been charged with assault and domestic violence following an incident involving her father last month.

According to First Tracks Online

“Street, now 44, is alleged to have pushed her 76-year-old father, Roland Street, down a flight of stairs into the basement of a Park City home on December 23, where she locked him in the basement to await authorities, charging documents indicate. Picabo Street alleges that the incident occurred after her father pulled her hair. Police indicate that her three children witnessed the fracas.”

Picabo Street court hearing is scheduled for February 16. She has been charged with three counts of misdemeanor domestic violence in the presence of a child, and one count of misdemeanor assault.

Street won the gold medal in women’s super G at the 1998 Games in Nagano, Japan, and silver in the 1994 Games in Lillehammer, Norway.
