After 76″ of snow fell in the month of November, the Back Bowls @Vail are now open for business.

Today Vail opened up Sun Down Bowl in addition parts of Sun Up Bowl accessed by High Noon and Sun Up Lifts.

According to an article in the Vail Daily, Executive Vice President and Chief Operation Officer Chris Jarnot commented on the stellar early season conditions saying, “It has been a great start to the season, and to be able to add Back Bowls terrain this early is fantastic,” adding, “The 6 feet of snow we received in November has made for an excellent early season at Vail Mountain.”

As of today Vail has 38% of its terrain open with 1802 of its acres available to the skiing and riding public!
