Over the past few months, Lindsey Vonn endured heavily publicized coverage of her fractured ankle. However, that ankle problem is now a thing of the past according to Vonn. The reigning record holder for world cup wins claims she is currently 100% ready to roll into Aspen for the FIS sponsored World Cup races at the end of this month and is looking forward to racing in her first Giant Slalom Event of the year.

In the meantime, Vonn is looking for somewhere to ski. Currently Copper Mountain, a perennial training ground for world cup athletes has been fairly thin due to unseasonably warm temperatures lasting through the majority of October. Vonn is currently contemplating training there, travelling to Europe, or simply staying at home and spending time in the gym. Whatever she chooses to do, she’s ready to race.

In a phone interview with the Denver Post, Vonn told one reporter, “I’m skiing really well,” adding, “I’m 100 percent ready for the season.”
