In America we have a right to bear arms…in the high arctic island of Svalbard you are literally legally required to carry a gun.  This remote Norwegian island is the only place in the world with a law like this on the books and it is easy to understand why.  Svalbard is home to a very healthy population of polar bears and recently incidences of attacks have been on the rise leading to the passing this very unique gun policy.
