This is a surfer’s absolute worst nightmare. Scary footage out of South Africa this morning as pro surfer Mick Fanning fends off a shark during the final of the J-Bay surfing competition. The shark can be seen swimming up behind the surfer and knocking him off his board. Fanning punched the animal on the back before swimming to safety. The final has temporarily been placed on hold.
