1. J-Bar at the Hotel Jerome in Aspen, Colorado

J-Bar is the cozy lounge youโ€™ve been waiting for. Its casual but classy decor attracts Aspen locals and ski tourists alike. Thereโ€™s food, beverage, and an unbeatable atmosphere. Rumor has it Hunter S. Thompson headed for the J-Bar when he needed a dropโ€ฆ

2. Wobbly Barn in Killington, Vermont

After a long day on the slopes, a porterhouse from the Wobbly Barnโ€™s kitchen will put some color back in your cheeks. The upstairs bar and music venue is a great way to pass the evening and meet people. Itโ€™s the no-frills, food-and-fun establishment every ski town needs. Oh, and thereโ€™s a free shuttle to and from the bar. No wonder theyโ€™ve been a Killington staple for 45 years.

3. The Attic at the Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie, Washington

The Attic is one winter hideaway youโ€™ll want on your map. This bar overlooks the gorgeous Snoqualmie Falls, which partially freeze in the winter creating an incredible vortex of ice and mist. Come for the view and stay for the wood-fired pizza and drinks โ€” including local craft brews.

4. The Million Dollar Cowboy in Jackson, Wyoming
