Six months after his life-threatening skiing accident, Michael Schumacher is no longer in a coma and has left intensive care in Grenoble hospital.
Schumacher manager, Sabine Kehm, said in a statement: “Michael has left the CHU Grenoble to continue his long phase of rehabilitation. He is not in a coma anymore.”
“His family would like to explicitly thank all his treating doctors, nurses and therapists in Grenoble as well as the first aiders at the place of the accident, who did an excellent job in those first months.”
Schumacher family have steered clear of the public eye and it is unclear what the current state of the former F1 racing champion is.
It is believed that he has been moved to his home in Switzerland.
