Weather and snow conditions forced the FWT stop #3 at Fieberbrunn to be moved over to nearby Kappl/Tirol. You can catch most of the highlights in the above video. Max and and Franky break down the all hot action for you.

Ski men saw some big changes with a win by Kiwi Sam Smoothy and a crash by current tour leader Loic Collomb-Patton. Argentine Nicolas Salencon worked his way into third place overall with his 2nd place finish at Kappl. Salencon was rewarded for sticking a money 360 off the opening blind rollover cliff.

Check out a really great breakdown by the judges:

Ski women saw a re-shuffle of  their top spot with Jackie Paaso slipping to a tie for third overall with a less than stellar run. Last years FWT champion Nadine Wallner stomped back onto the scene with a 1st place finish, which ties her in third overall with Paaso at this point.  Matilda Rapaport now holds 1st place overall with a 4th place finish at Kappl. Her speed and power continue to impress the judges. Currently in 2nd place is Austrian Lorraine Huber who’s smooth style and textbook technique have put her on the podium in third place at both events so far. Another big move in standings came from Crested Butte skier Francesca Pavillard -Cain who took second place to bump into 7th overall on the tour.

Men’s Snowboarding saw strong runs from the Americans Sammy Luebke and Ralph Backstrom who finished 1st and 2nd respectively. The win pushes Luebke farther ahead of the pack in 1st place overall and gets Backstrom back in the game by bumping him up into 7th plae overall.  For Women’s Snowboarding Shannan Yates continues her winning ways with a solid 1st place finish.

The FWT moves over to North America for the next two stops at Kirkwood and Revelstoke, before returning to Europe for the finals at Verbier. Get stoked for the next installment by checking out all the standings, bios and highlight videos on Freeskiingworldtour.com.
