Tero Repo, one of top photographers in the game, shares with Unofficial Networks some of his favorite photos from over the years. Photos range from Jeremy Jones Deep project to Arne Backstrom skiing in Chamonix. Tero Repo Photography “I am a 32 year old professional photographer from Helsinki, Finland. Somehow about ten years ago I ended up to spend a winter in Switzerland. I am still on that journey, living in Vollèges Switzerland with my wife and son.” Enjoy his photos….. We know you will.
Couple years ago I went to see my friend Xavier De Le Rue in boarder cross competition. I had never seen one on live and I have to say it was pretty impressive. There is so much speed and contact. It looks some much harder than on TV. Lot of respect to these guys. This shot is taken in Veysonnaz, Switzerland.
This shot is taken 16.5. 2010. It was a crazy day in Chamonix. After a big snow fall everyone was ready to hit the north face of the Aiguille du Midi. It was like a race. Everyone was so focused to drop in as soon as the clouds would disappear. Dave, Arne, Giulia and Pondella were the first ones to drop in. That day i met Arne  for the first time and unfortunately last. R.I.P.
I had an idea to shoot a different kind of couloir skiing shot. When I mentioned it to Fraser Mcdougal he was all fired up. This is one of my favorite shots from last winter. Thanks to Fraser to make it happen. This couloir is 35 degrees, so it is not a piece of cake to throw a back flip in it.
Andreas Fransson is a swedish skier who spends most of his time in Chamonix. I have known Andreas for 8 years. From a young telemark skier to a extreme skier. Andreas is one the strongest guys out there at the moment. I took this photo of him last year when the Tour Ronde north face was still looking bit icy. Andreas said it was fine and he had fun to ride it down.
Deeper in Alaska. Last year I had a opportunity to join Jeremy and his crew in AK for couple of weeks camping trip. It was the most insane terrain I have ever seen. After a six day snowfall it finally cleared up. Xavier De Le Rue never ridden spines before, but he decided to go for this one. I was laughing behind my camera. What a trip.
The crew in AK last year. (starting from 12 o’clock) Garry Pendygrasse, Josh Dirksen, Ryland Bell, Seth Lightcap, Tom Burt, Xavier De Le Rue, Tero Repo, Chris Edmands, Jeremy Jones.
I went Georgia (Europe) last february. I didn’t know what to expect, but as soon as I saw the mountains I was blown away. Massive terrain with some nice peaks and good snow. Unfortunately we had the heli only for a day. Phil Meier getting ready for a joyride.
One of my favorite shots ever. The trip to Antarctica has been so far the greatest one I have ever been on. Out of six days we had 5 sunny days. Here Jeremy Jones riding to the sea level for a zodiac pick up.

I guess everyone recognizes this dude. Few years ago I had a chance to shoot some lifestyle with him. This guy has so many stories to tell and he loves to tell them. What a great dude who has a passion for skiing.
