On November 5th the fourth annual Utah Snow and Avalanche Workshop (USAW) is scheduled for The Depot in Salt Lake City. This is a great way to network, get educated and connect with some of the best in the avalanche business. The USAW is modeled after the International Snow Science Workshop, and is the perfect place for all backcountry snow enthusiasts to come together and discuss the ins-and-outs of avalanche safety, knowledge, and mitigation.

You’ll get a little taste of everything if you attend this years USAW. Workshops on snow science, learning from numerous professionals in the industry, and detailed analysis of past avalanche happenings will all take place.

The Blue Goose in The Depot will host a social after this years event where presenters and attendees can decompress and give their brains a rest after a long day of avalanche talk. Admission is only $25 making this a must for everyone that spends any time in Utah’s famed snowy terrain that is also home to numerous avalanches each year. Check out the Utah Avalanche Center website  for more details and to purchase tickets to this years event.
