Winter?

The title says it all- it’s kinda beat in Las Lenas. Up high it’s probably good- but the wind is keeping the Marte down and unless you have to coin to hire a cat, you’re stuck on the lower mountain. The warm temps have melted a lot of the snow that we picked up earlier this week, so the lower slopes are thinner than ever/dirt. Up high, things are looking pretty white but, again, it’s pretty hard to get up there.

Up high, there's still hope

Rumor has it that winds are approaching the 140km/hr mark up high, so in all honesty it’s anybody’s guess what the conditions are like up there. It’s been stormy enough to eliminate any real chance of getting a day two at the Red Bull Powder Disorder. Alternatively, organizers are thinking of hosting a big air contest- that will have no effect on the standings from day one. Basically, it will be an exhibition and day one results will be the final results. Stay tuned for more info.
