MAD RIVER GLEN, Vermont – Mad River Glen turned 75 this past December. Its long history is undoubtedly unique compared to other ski areas, from acting as a skier-owned co-op to continuing their ban on snowboarders. It’s pretty fascinating to see just how this mountain got to where it is today.

With support and fundings from the Stark Mountain Foundation, Rick Moulton, who created the 40th anniversary video back in 1988, brings us this 75th-anniversary documentary on the history and spirit of the Vermont resort.

This production presents the development of the Co-Op, the creation of the Triple Crown, the Free-style programs, and various year-round recreational uses for the mountain. These stories unfold using the heartfelt reflections of 45 notable characters who helped make Mad River Glen one of the most beloved ski areas in the World.
