On Monday, Sommet Saint-Sauveur in Quebec supposedly ended its season. They then made a surprising announcement to try to be the last ski resort to be open in the Northeast.
On May 30th, they’ll be hosting an End of Season Party from 7-11 pm. Some of the activities will include a DJ, live band, and on-site entertainment, along with an outdoor bar and BBQ. If the snow is still there, they could possibly reopen the L’Etoile Atomic chairlift for some night skiing.
Killington is scheduled to be open Friday through Memorial Day, so it will be interesting to see whether they stay open next Tuesday or Wednesday, or if they concede the title to their Northern late-season rivals.
