WATCH: UW Medicine’s Tips For Preventing ACL Injuries In Skiers

One of the most feared injuries among skiers is the torn ACL. We all know someone who’s done exactly that, whether they’re a beginner or an expert, and had to take a year or two off from skiing. Often times it can lead to a sort of mental barrier, and sometimes it leads to a physical barrier, so athletes who experience the injury may never quite ski the same again.

It’s an unfortunate possibility, and since I am absolutely NOT a medical expert, I won’t give you my tips and tricks for preventing the torn ACL. Instead, I’ll give you the University of Washington School of Medicine’s tips for preventing the torn ACL. There’s even a little something in there for the most common snowboarding injury, in case you’re one of our single tool friends.
