Why Switzerland Is Home To More Than 300,000 Bunkers (Watch)

Switzerland is known across the globe for a few things. Most notably- cows, mountains, and neutrality.

Despite the entire world breaking out into war twice in the early-half of the 20th century, Switzerland remained neutral.

Johnny Harris, a popular YouTuber, ventured to Switzerland to explore some of the country’s largest bunkers.

These massive structures were built during the World Wars into Switzerland’s mountains in case Switzerland’s neutrality was ever questioned. It’s estimated that more than 300,000 are scattered across the country.

Check out the video below:

Johnny Harris: “I went to Switzerland to hunt for bunkers, something I’ve been planning and dreaming about for years. The result wasn’t just a wild trip through the mountains. It was an uncovering of something much deeper: the story of this peculiar country and the cost and benefits of choosing neutrality.”
