Vermont Ski Hill Upgrading Their Snowmaking Pump-House

Local Vermont ski areas are the backbone of their communities and the ski industry, and that is especially true with Brattleboro Ski Hill. The two-trail ski area is serviced by a t-bar, and lift tickets are only $5. Unlike other small Vermont ski hills, they make their own snow, but they do need to upgrade their snowmaking capabilities in order to survive.

In a GoFundMe that was launched earlier this month, the ski hill is aiming to raise $12,000 for various snowmaking projects. They are working on expanding their “pump-house structure, updating central piping, repairing an old water pump, and conducting some dredging work in the adjacent pond.” With rising temperatures and diminishing snowfall, getting this project done is a priority for the ski hill. They have begun work on expanding the pump-house, which is pictured below. So far, the Brattleboro Ski Hill has raised more than $6500 for the cause. You can view their GoFundMe here.
