National Park’s Meme Calls Out Tourists Trying To Pet Bison

Yellowstone's Photo Collection

It’s no secret that Yellowstone National Park has a problem when it comes to ignorant tourists getting too close to the wild bison that inhabit the park.

Just last week a man and his daughter were gored and thrown by a bison after they got too close. You can watch that horrific video here.

It’s unfortunate that incidents like this keep happening, but The National Parks Service isn’t giving up on trying to prevent them.

So, how do you spread info on the internet in 2022? By creating a funny and engaging meme of course!

National Parks Service: “Ah, spring! It’s just around the corner. Temperatures are warming, birds are singing, and larger wildlife will soon be on the move.

You can help keep yourself and other visitors safe and wildlife wild by setting a good example! Remember to treat all wildlife with proper caution and respect. The safety of wildlife, as well as your own safety, depends on everyone using good judgment.”

Just don’t be stupid out there, folks. If you see a bison, give it space. They aren’t ‘fluffy cows’ that will let you pet them. They’ll get angry, they’ll charge, and you’ll end up as the subject of a viral internet video.

You don’t want to be that guy (or gal).
