Yellowstone National Park is celebrating it’s 150th birthday today. Preservation of the park was officially signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1st, 1872.

Yellowstone is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and we should all feel grateful that the land has been preserved for all of these years. With that being said, Yellowstone is known for attracting a certain kind of person in the summer months.

You know what I mean, right? The people who approach bison, try to pet elk, and bathe their dogs in protected geothermal waters? Yeah… those people. Let’s take a look at some of the craziest videos that have come out of Yellowstone in recent years.

“The videos show a snowcoach (basically a bus on snow tracks) in Yellowstone getting blocked by an angry bison. He really, and I mean REALLY, doesn’t want them to travel any further.”

“Some hikers were watching a herd of grazing bison when a grizzly started attacking and ripping chunks out of a yearling. The young bison put up a good fight, but was ultimately no match for the grizzly.”

“This couple is in hot water for bathing their dogs in thermal water at Yellowstone. This is illegal, and very dangerous. Yellowstone National Park prohibits any guests from leaving boardwalk paths in thermal areas, and from bathing in hot springs.”
