Killington Concludes Season in Legendary Fashion

Killington Resort in Vermont announced early last week that they were going to open for its last day on June 4th, which was its latest closing date since 1997. Then most of the Superstar Glacier melted due to rainy and humid weather. Killington still opened on Saturday for a couple of hours in what was a true representation of gritty East Coast ski conditions. The experience required carrying your skis/boards on and off the lift, walking down to the first snow pile (made easier by ropes that Killington set up), and either hiking down or grass/rock skiing to shred the remaining patches. What a crazy closing day at Killington, as those who were able to shred on Saturday will have stories to tell for years to come. Congrats to Killington for making it to June!
